Syngenta IL mapping of BACs
===========================

UPDATE: Syngenta has released a new file containing individual BAC to F2-2000 mappings, including IL bin mappings. This information is given in the file 

syngenta_bacs.txt

The file Tom_FPC_Map_PAG.ppt contains a brief description of the methodology.

The previous information, kindly provided by Syngenta at the PAG meeting 2007 contained 17,000 BACs mapped to IL bins. This information is still available for reference in the old/ directory. In these files, all the BACs that were in a common contig with the mapped BAC were also included in the listing. The caveat is that sometimes the contigs are chimeric, leading to incorrect mapping locations.

The old/ directory contains the following files:

Tom_FPC_Data_PAG.xls - an Excel spreadsheet containingg IL-BACassociations and contig information.  
Tom_FPC_Data_PAG.csv - a tab-delimited file containingg the same information as the Excel spreadsheet.
